WeSA 페스티벌은 2014년부터 시작된 오디오비주얼, 실험 음악 페스티벌입니다. 기술과 예술의 결합이 가속화되고 있는 지금, 오디오비주얼은 가장 앞선 예술이라는 인식 하에 전세계 오디오비주얼 장르를 대표하는 페스티벌로 자리매김하고자 합니다. 글로벌 신인 공모를 통해 새로운 충격을 확보하는 한편, 렉처, 워크숍, 공연, 전시, 아티스트 네트워킹을 망라하는 복합형 페스티벌을 추구합니다.
2023년 WeSA Festival 작품 공모를 시작합니다.
올해의 주제는 ‘Sound is the new music’입니다. 2023년 위사는 사운드에 주목하고 있습니다. 음악은 감동과 즐거움을 전달하기 위해 만들어지는 예술 작품입니다. 사운드 역시 마찬가지입니다. 피아노나 기타 같은 악기는 없지만, 가사와 화성, 멜로디와 리듬은 없지만, 사운드는 감동을 전달하고 즐거움을 줍니다. 의미와 맥락이 가미되지 않은 순수한 진동으로서의 사운드. 이것이 우리 시대 가장 새로운 음악이 아닐까요?

음악/사운드, 오디오 비주얼 작품, 미디어 아트 작품 (개인 아티스트 2인 이상이 협업한 작품도 응모 가능합니다.)

*심사는 공정하게 진행되며, 선정된 아티스트에게는 공연비와 페스티벌 공연 기회(선정작)가 주어집니다.
*페스티벌은 2023년 12월 또는 2024년 1월 개최 예정입니다.
2023 WeSA Festival is now accepting submissions.
In 2023, WeSA is focusing on sound. This year’s theme is "Sound is the New Music." Music is an art form created to convey emotion and pleasure, and sound is no different. Sound can convey emotions and bring joy without pianos or guitars, lyrics, harmony, melody, or rhythm. Pure vibrations of sound, without meaning or context, could be considered the newest form of music in our time. We look forward to seeing the creative works of all participants.
*Applications
Any work related to music/sound, audio-visual works, media art works can be submitted. Collaborations by two or more individual artists may also apply.
* Submit your work in PDF file including the following information
- Name, date of birth, e-mail, title of work, introduction of the work, artist profile, presentation plan of work
- Any additional necessary information relevant to the work
* How to Apply
Please send all submissions to wesa@wesa.kr. For large attachments, please use a large file attachment function or a web storage service such as dropbox.
* Application Deadline
Wednesday, September 27, 2023 18:00 p.m
* Submitted works will be selected through a fair screening process, and the selected artists will be given an opportunity to perform at the festival along with a performance fee.
* The festival is scheduled to be held in December 2023 or January 2024.
